Two theses available: Evaluation of psychotherapy videos of patients with chronic depression with regard to therapeutic competence and adherence (Project: ChangePDD)

Within the framework of the ChangePDD project, led by Prof. Dr. Eva-Lotta Brakemeier and coordinated by Dr. Maike Hollandt, two theses are available. The project focuses on the treatment of patients suffering from treatment-resistant chronic depression who have not responded adequately to various therapeutic approaches. The research centers on comparing the effectiveness of a therapy approach specifically developed for this condition (CBASP) with an established psychotherapy (BA). The theses involve the analysis of videos from inpatient psychotherapy study sessions. The research focuses on investigating therapeutic competence and adherence in both treatment arms. Interested students can contact Dr. Maike Hollandt at maike.hollandt@uni-greifswald.de.

Conducting and evaluating diagnostic interviews during the diagnostic phase of the IPT-U study therapy (Project: PHil@SH-VP)

The research project "Interpersonal Psychotherapy for People from Ukraine," part of the PHil@SH-VP* project, aims to conduct and investigate context-adapted short-term therapy (IPT) for asylum seekers from Ukraine (IPT-U). The goal of a thesis on this topic is the independent administration and analysis of the Diagnostic Interview for Mental Disorders (DIPS) in combination with the Cultural Formulation Interview (CFI) with patients and interpreters (triadic work) during the diagnostic phase of the aforementioned study. Training and supervision are provided for both the interview methods and the triadic work. Specific topic selection can be discussed and agreed upon.
