Talk to teachers! At school, you can talk to a teacher you trust. Most schools have liaison teachers.
Schools also often have a social worker, and some also have school psychologists. You can also talk to them. If you don't know who this is at your school, ask in the reception or ask your classmates!
If you don't have the confidence to speak to a teacher or the school psychologist yourself, ask a friend.
They can accompany you or ask for you.
Sometimes you need real professionals to help you. It's the same with depression as when you've broken an arm.
How to find the professionals:
1. paediatrician/family doctor: They are the first professionals you contact. They know their stuff and know whether you need other professionals.
You probably have a paediatrician or a family doctor!
2. therapists: There is extra psychotherapy for children and adolescents. This therapy is treated by child and adolescent psychotherapists and child and adolescent psychiatrists.
Huh, is there no difference?
Yes, there is: child and adolescent psychotherapists are psychologists. Child and adolescent psychiatrists are doctors; they are also allowed to give medication if necessary. You don't need to worry about the difference, because: They both do psychotherapy. If you need additional medication, the professionals will take care of it.
How to find them:
1. 116 117 appointment service: Click hereLink.
- Under "Who/What" enter: Child and adolescent psychotherapy OR child and adolescent psychiatry
- For "Where" enter: your residential address

2. google:
- Enter: child psychotherapist + your residential address OR child psychiatrist + your residential address.

3. google for "PIA": Every hospital with a paediatric psychiatry department also has a so-called psychiatric institute outpatient clinic ("PIA" for short). You can often get an appointment there after 4 to 6 weeks.

4th insider tip: In larger towns [Rostockis the only city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern] there are so-called university outpatient clinics or training outpatient clinics; in towns with a university there are even both. Many therapists work there and they are often between 25 and 40 years old.
How to find them:

- Google: Enter: Ausbildungsambulanz Kinder Jugendliche + your residential address.

Important rules: If you don't have the confidence to call or go by yourself, please ask your parents, a friend or someone else you trust.
