My research focuses on cognitive and neural mechanisms associated with aging particularly from the perspective of the diminished state space theory of human aging.

• Investigating the interplay between surprise and model updating, specifically focusing on how these mechanisms develop across the lifespan. 
• Investigating behavioral and performance deficits in older adults across various cognitive domains.
• Analyzing the neural processes that influence cognitive aging and their impact on the representation of state spaces in cognitive tasks.

To address these questions, my work combines behavioral paradigms with EEG and pupillometry.
