Project module in the Bachelor's degree programme in Psychology
As many students develop the topic of their Bachelor's thesis as part of the project module they are taking (7th & 8th semester), it is intended that the binding final report for the project module can and should take the form of an exposé (the Chair of Health & Prevention requires that an exposé be prepared before officially registering a Bachelor's thesis). The exception here is for those students whose Bachelor's thesis topic is not related to the project module; in these cases, an obligatory report on the project module must be submitted in the form of documentation of the work carried out. However, as the deadline for submitting the project module report is the end of the 8th semester (31 August to be precise), but in many cases students are already working on their Bachelor's thesis (according to the study plan for the 8th semester), it is recommended that the exposé should not be prepared for the actual submission date of the final report, but for the planned registration of the Bachelor's thesis by the student (usually the end of the 7th semester/start of the 8th semester). An exposé must therefore be submitted to Professor Schmidt before registering for the Bachelor's thesis and again at the end of the project module - formally as a final report. Although the exposé is initially a piece of work, it makes it easier for students to write their Bachelor's thesis and has many parts that are almost identical to the Bachelor's thesis.
